Artist Statement
Bethany Storey is a filmmaker based in Boston, MA, currently attending Emerson College. She is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. Bethany specializes in intimate cinematography for narrative films and creating short documentaries that promote social justice. She has made several short films, including Claret Breath, a five-minute short film that uses poetry and catharsis to tell a story about domestic abuse and misogyny.
She is currently attending university for Visual Media Arts Production with an emphasis on documentary filmmaking and cinematography. Her future aspirations include creating full documentary films and continuing to experiment with visceral emotions and adolescence in her narrative films. She has recently taken an interest in the archival and preservation of historic film footage.
She is always looking for a new experience or team to be a part of.
